New Mira by Isabel Miramontes is a poetic celebration of awakening, movement and the discovery of oneself. Through her unique sculptural language, the artist captures a fragile yet powerful moment — the instant when a human being opens to the world, to light, and to a new perception of life.
The title Mira carries a beautiful meaning in Spanish: “Look” or “Observe.” More than a simple invitation to see, it becomes a call to truly perceive — to look beyond appearances, beyond the visible, and to discover the hidden emotions and inner truths that shape our existence.
The figure rises gracefully, arms lifted toward the sky, as if responding to an invisible energy. Her body seems to be in motion, between a dance and an awakening. Around her, the spiral form creates a rhythm of transformation: it can be seen as the flow of time, the layers of memories, the challenges of life, or the invisible forces that surround us.
Yet the figure is not imprisoned by this movement — she emerges from it. She looks beyond. She continues to rise.
Isabel Miramontes explores the relationship between the human body and the inner world. Her figures often appear between strength and vulnerability, between balance and instability. In New Mira, the open spaces and the flowing lines allow light to travel through the bronze, creating a fascinating dialogue between matter and emptiness.
The sculpture reminds us that life is not only about moving forward, but also about learning how to look — at the world, at others, and most importantly, within ourselves.
With exceptional elegance and sensitivity, New Mira becomes a symbol of renewal, freedom and inner transformation — an invitation to embrace life with curiosity, courage and wonder.
A timeless bronze sculpture that does not simply ask us to see beauty… but to truly look.
