“Gone with Me” feels like a moment caught between earth and sky — a woman carried away by the wind, by movement, by dreams she has not yet reached.
Hedwige Leroux gives her an extraordinary lightness. Her impossibly long silhouette seems to stretch beyond the limits of the body, while her flowing blue dress becomes almost a second presence: a wave, a breath, a piece of sky dancing freely around her. Her hair rises with the same force, as if the wind itself has whispered to her: go.
There is something wonderfully liberating in this sculpture. She does not seem to be walking towards a destination. She is simply allowing herself to be carried — trusting the movement, following the moment, letting life unfold.
“Gone with Me” speaks of freedom, of surrender, and of the courage to leave something behind without knowing exactly what comes next. It reminds us that sometimes we do not need to control the direction of our lives; we simply need to open ourselves to the wind and dare to move.
The flowing lines of the figure create an almost musical rhythm. From every angle, the sculpture seems to continue dancing, her dress suspended in an eternal breeze. She brings movement into a space that is otherwise still, and a quiet sense of possibility into everyday life.
