"Trace" is one of a special serie produced by Jean-Pierre Baldini in his studio in Arles in 2012.
These works led us to draw a parallel with the work produced in the caves of Lascaux.
Surprising, captivating, enigmatic, all of the artist's creativity is refocused in these eight two-faced sculptures where the part of the invisible seems like a game of the unspoken. The primary drawing, simple, carried out with finesse, is transformed into several complex actions where one passes from the 2 dimension to the 3 dimension involving several materials, earth, plaster, bronze, to finally return to the origin. the timelessness of the transmission of knowledge by imprint, giving meaning to our humanity, is revealed by this work.
