“Circle” is a sculpture about connection, rhythm, and the invisible dialogue between two beings. Two figures stand facing each other, mirroring one another in a quiet, almost playful balance — as if caught in a timeless moment between movement and stillness.
Lieven d’Haese captures here something deeply human: the need for connection, the echo between two presences, the subtle tension of proximity. The figures seem to respond to each other without touching, like a silent conversation expressed through posture and movement. Together, they form a circle — not a closed form, but a living, breathing space between them.
The textured bronze surface, raw and sensitive, reinforces this sense of life. The figures are not polished or idealized — they are real, grounded, fragile, and strong at the same time. There is a poetry in their simplicity, a truth in their presence.
Collectors are drawn to this work because it resonates emotionally. It speaks of relationships — between two people, between self and other, between balance and difference. It can evoke love, dialogue, reflection, or even the relationship we have with ourselves.
Placed in a garden, the sculpture becomes part of nature — the figures seem to breathe with the wind, to belong to the landscape. Indoors, it creates an intimate and contemplative space, inviting pause and reflection.
This is a work that does not impose itself — it invites. It creates a quiet presence, a subtle emotional field that evolves with the viewer.
“Circle” is a sculpture about connection — simple, essential, and deeply human.
