The position of the young girl facing life, transmits an energy of serenity, confidence and letting go. She embodies a quiet, free force. The girl splits the waves, dynamic, haughty, and bewitching. Isabel Miramontes has fashioned with her artistic hands a woman holding a large oar, advancing serenely on calm waters. Her face is soft and determined, she knows where she is going and she seems to be in absolute confidence and in certain control. This woman crosses the waters and goes forward, she makes her way with her boat and keeps her course until she takes us with her to our destination. This El Dorado is the one the Artist invites us to imagine with her. It could be this place we dream of going one day, or the place we live and navigate day after day. We find her streaks on the upper body, as if she was wearing only a ribbon. The detail is also found in the position of the hands and feet, which is indicative of the artistic work of Isabel Miramontes. More than anything, we let ourselves be carried away by a depth and an impetus that makes us travel and takes us on paths of reverie and why not inspiration. The light gray patina gives it an appearance of stone, a symbol of strength and stability, while the world of the boat recalls uncertainty and movement. The artist offers here a sculpture that combines a perfect balance between two opposites that subtly attract and marry. In other words, it is a real masterpiece!
