When we question the existence of human life in the universe, it is not so much the answers that are interesting—since they can always be deconstructed—but rather the relevance of the questions.

I like the idea that scientific research is not as opposed to the artistic approach as we often think (there are actually many similarities). It requires deep humility in order to move forward. Imagine… a passionate researcher devoting their life not to finding an answer, but truly to finding a question.

And I like to think that each of us also has the possibility of choosing our own. 

I believe that increasingly precise observation of space may allow us to understand that the infinitely large is intimately connected to the infinitely small. What vertigo—but a vertigo that makes sense for us. 

Thinking about the universe with that “tiny extra bit of soul,” with an almost childlike gaze, allows us—through dreaming—to open wide the doors of the vast spaces within ourselves and around us.
